The MTS Link platform has introduced real-time Chinese language recognition and translation for its video conferencing and webinar services. This update allows users to convert spoken Chinese into text and display subtitles in 19 different languages, including English, Japanese, Korean, and Arabic.

The AI technology is designed to account for the tonal nuances of the Chinese language. It also processes slang, specialized terminology, and abbreviations, while maintaining context across multiple phrases to ensure coherent translations. The feature is now available to businesses in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug.

Users can combine these AI-generated subtitles with simultaneous interpretation services. The platform allows listeners to select different languages for the audio channel and the subtitle feed independently. These capabilities were initially launched in 2025, with real-time translation features added in the first quarter of 2026.
