MTS has introduced a new multifunctional support structure, MFO-15, designed to provide mobile network coverage in remote areas of the Astrakhan region. The 15-meter structure includes a climate-controlled cabinet with lithium batteries and a diesel generator, allowing it to operate without external power sources for up to 12 days on a single fuel tank.

The MFO-15 support is designed for rapid deployment along highways, railways, mining sites, and temporary settlements. It can be assembled in three hours by a team of three people using a crane truck. The solution is also suitable for establishing private LTE and 5G networks for industrial facilities.

Additionally, MTS plans to deliver the first 10 aeromobile communication complexes (AMKS) to Russian regions by early 2027. These systems utilize tethered hexacopters equipped with LTE/5G base stations to provide mobile connectivity in hard-to-reach locations. The technology was first demonstrated in Nizhny Novgorod in May 2026.
