MTS and Magnit Tech have become industrial partners of the HSE Faculty of Computer Science under the Ministry of Digital Development's Top-AI project. The initiative aims to integrate academic research with business requirements, focusing on generative AI, data engineering, and machine learning.

The partnership between HSE and MTS began in 2023 with the launch of a specialized department. In 2024, they introduced a master's program in AI research and entrepreneurship. In 2026, the program saw its first 25 graduates, with MTS funding 30 out of 40 student spots for the year.

Magnit Tech has signed a strategic agreement with HSE for at least five years. The company will co-finance and develop educational tracks, including new courses on data engineering and machine learning in retail, managed through the Magnit EduTech Hub community.

Students involved in the Top-AI project will gain access to R&D initiatives, internships, and mentorship from industry experts. The collaboration seeks to prepare specialists capable of addressing complex technical challenges in high-load infrastructure and retail analytics.
