MSI has introduced the Shadow 16 'Dragon Girl' Interstellar Edition 2026, a special gaming laptop released to mark the company's 40th anniversary. The device features a distinct 'Nebula White' aesthetic integrated with the 'Dragon Girl' anime IP, departing from traditional dark gaming laptop designs.
The laptop is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX processor and a 115W full-power NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU. It includes a 16-inch 2.5K display with a 240Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and a peak brightness of 500 nits.
The hardware configuration includes 16GB of DDR5-5600 memory and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD, with an additional M.2 slot available for future expansion. The device is powered by an 80Wh battery and supports 100W PD charging via its USB-C ports.
The cooling system consists of dual fans, five heat pipes, and four air outlets, allowing for a total system performance release of 190W. The laptop measures between 21.95mm and 23.85mm in thickness and weighs approximately 2.25kg.
Connectivity options include three USB-A ports, two USB-C ports with DP 1.4 and PD support, an HDMI 2.1 FRL port, and an RJ45 Ethernet jack. The package also includes themed peripherals, specifically a mouse, a mouse pad, and a headset.
