Motorola has released a teaser video on the X platform showcasing a new foldable smartphone. The device features a passport-like wide-screen form factor, making it noticeably broader and wider than the existing Razr Fold series.
Design sketches indicate that the rear camera module is arranged in a horizontal strip. This layout is intended to prevent the phone from wobbling when placed on a flat surface. The module includes three cutouts, housing at least two cameras and a third opening for an LED flash or additional sensors.
The device is expected to feature a front-facing camera on the inner screen, positioned in the top-right corner when held horizontally, while the outer screen camera is located in the top center. Motorola plans to implement an Easy-open profile to improve the unfolding experience for users.
The internal documentation also highlights the use of a crease-free display and 3D glass construction. These design choices aim to refine the aesthetics and durability of the wide-format foldable device as Motorola explores new hardware configurations.
