Developers recently discovered a new model identifier, kimi-k3-1, within the backend registry of the Moonshot AI API platform. The identifier is currently functional and accessible through interface probing.

The official Kimi open platform has released teasers for the K3.1 model, which is expected to support a context window of up to 1 million tokens. The platform suggests that users will be able to choose between Low, High, and Max inference intensity levels.

The upcoming model may introduce new capabilities, including an agent mode, swarm multi-agent collaboration, as well as dedicated search and batch processing tasks. Analysts suggest that the tiered inference intensity settings could correspond to distinct computing resource allocations and billing structures.

Current data from the Kimi open platform indicates that the API pricing for K3.1 matches the existing K3 model. However, there is a possibility that these figures are merely placeholders until the official release.
