The distributor MONT has expanded its engineering software portfolio by adding the C3D Viewer Pro solution. Developed by C3D Labs, a subsidiary of Ascon, the software allows users to view and convert 3D models from various CAD systems without requiring the installation of the original design software.
The tool supports native formats such as NX, SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, Inventor, and Solid Edge. It is designed for engineers, technologists, and production specialists who need to perform visual inspections, measurements, and report generation without advanced CAD skills.
C3D Viewer Pro provides automated calculations for model mass and volume, and supports the native C3D format used by platforms like Kompas-3D and NanoCAD. Additionally, the software functions as a data converter, enabling exports to formats including JT, STEP, and STL.
According to C3D Labs, the solution aims to streamline production workflows by reducing reliance on expensive CAD licenses. MONT representatives noted that the product addresses the demand for local engineering tools, providing partners with both the software and technical expertise for implementation.
