In August, the Migtorg auction platform recorded an 82% increase in the number of lots within its property section compared to July. This growth was driven by the arrival of larger sellers who began listing significant volumes of goods and warehouse stock on the platform.

The average lot value saw a substantial rise, increasing from 6,850 ₽ in July to 59,680 ₽ in August, representing a 771.1% growth. Additionally, the platform reported a 6% increase in the number of new users during the same period.

Data shows that over 80% of new lots were listed by sellers already operating on major marketplaces. These vendors use the auction site as an additional channel to clear inventory, benefiting from the absence of marketplace commissions and the ability to sell goods in medium-sized wholesale batches.

According to Migtorg CEO Alexander Korotkov, the surge in activity is linked to concerns regarding the security of marketplace warehouse infrastructure. Sellers are opting to sell stock directly to avoid storage costs, risks, and fees, prioritizing faster liquidation of frozen capital.
