Microsoft announced that the Advanced Shader Delivery (ASD) feature is expanding to hardware from Qualcomm, Intel, and Nvidia this month. Previously, the technology was only available for the AMD RDNA GPU family. This update ensures that ASD will be supported across all four major graphics hardware manufacturers.
Qualcomm introduced ASD support for Snapdragon X2 integrated graphics on September 22, 2024, through driver version 2026.08.3. Intel and Nvidia are scheduled to roll out their support later this month. The technology aims to reduce game loading times and eliminate shader stuttering by allowing users to download precompiled shaders directly.
Intel hardware compatibility includes Arc B570 and B580 discrete graphics cards, as well as integrated graphics found in second and third-generation Core Ultra processors. For Nvidia, the feature will be available on all RTX GPUs and RTX Spark systems. The game Gears of War: E-Day is the first title to support ASD across multiple GPU vendors.
