Microsoft has introduced the Surface Laptop Ultra and the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box. The laptop starts at $2,599, while the Dev Box is priced from $5,999. Both devices are currently available for pre-order and will begin shipping on October 16.

The Surface Laptop Ultra weighs 4.5 pounds and features a magnetic USB-C charging connector. During demonstrations, the system ran the game Gears of War: E-Day at 60 frames per second. Microsoft claims the RTX Spark chip offers performance up to 6.2 times faster in video generation compared to the M5 Pro.

New Windows 11 updates include enhanced search functionality and integration with Copilot, which can now access local files and perform actions on behalf of users. Microsoft also announced the DGX Spark and Station for Windows, with desktop units from HP and Dell expected later this year.

The company is introducing HydraFusion to balance local and cloud-based AI agents. This technology arrives on October 15 for GitHub Copilot, the CLI, and VS Code. Additionally, Windows ML will now support Llama.cpp, allowing developers to deploy models across GPU, NPU, and CPU hardware.
