Ryan Roslansky, the former head of LinkedIn and leader of the Microsoft Office and Teams divisions, has resigned from Microsoft after 18 years with the company. CEO Satya Nadella confirmed the departure, noting that Roslansky leaves the organization in a strong position following recent product integration efforts.

The resignation has triggered a series of leadership changes. Charles Lamanna will now oversee the Office and Teams teams, managing their integration with Copilot, Agents, and Platform. Additionally, Chief Design Officer Jon Friedman will report to Jacob Andreou, who leads the Copilot division. Dan Shapero remains in his role as head of LinkedIn.

Roslansky cited personal reasons for his exit, specifically his desire to remain in the San Francisco area with his family rather than relocating to Microsoft headquarters in Redmond. He joined LinkedIn in 2009 and served as its CEO starting in 2020, a period during which the platform's user base exceeded 1 billion people.

Prior to his departure, Roslansky expressed concerns regarding AI-generated documents, warning that they could lead to a surplus of generic content. He recently led the Microsoft 365 division, focusing on adapting professional workflows to the rapid integration of artificial intelligence tools.
