Microsoft announced on September 16 that its Auto SR technology now supports the third-generation Intel Core Ultra processors, codenamed Panther Lake. Users with compatible hardware can access the feature by downloading the Auto SR package via the Microsoft Store.

The technology works with DX10, DX11, and DX12 games, including titles such as Assassin's Creed Shadows, Doom: The Dark Ages, Rainbow Six Siege, and Far Cry 6. Microsoft notes that while Auto SR is widely compatible, it recommends prioritizing GPU-specific solutions like XeSS-SR when available.

Testing on the Arc B390 integrated graphics shows performance gains in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. At 1600p resolution with high settings, the game runs at 45 FPS. Enabling Auto SR allows the game to run at 52 FPS while using ultra settings.
