Investors have executed a series of large-scale call option purchases for Micron Technology, betting on a recovery for the semiconductor manufacturer. One notable transaction involved a premium of $12.5 million for January 2027 contracts with a strike price of $600.

The open interest for these specific call options has surpassed 5,000 contracts. These purchases were made at the ask price, indicating a strong conviction among traders despite a recent decline in the company's share price, which has fallen more than 40% from its June 2026 peak.

Micron reported record fiscal fourth-quarter 2026 revenue of $54.23 billion, a 379% year-over-year increase, with non-GAAP earnings per share of $33.42. For fiscal Q1 2027, the company forecasts revenue of approximately $61.5 billion and adjusted EPS of about $38.15.

Market pressure on the stock has been linked to a broader semiconductor selloff and concerns over data center construction. In response to current market conditions, Micron has paused plans for a $4.5 billion manufacturing facility in Taiwan.
