Investor Michael Burry reduced his short position against the semiconductor industry by selling 25% of his put options on the VanEck Semiconductor ETF, ticker SMH, on November 5, 2026.

Despite the reduction in the SMH stake, Burry maintains bearish positions through put options on Palantir, Oracle, Caterpillar, and the Nasdaq-100 index. These positions include expirations set for 2027.

In a concurrent move, Burry increased his long position in MercadoLibre. He acquired shares of the company at a price point below $1,500 following the release of their earnings report.

Burry previously consolidated his bearish exposure in October 2026, focusing on SMH and the Nasdaq-100. Earlier in 2026, he transitioned short positions in stocks like Micron into put options to leverage low volatility.
