Cologne-based Metycle has secured a credit facility of €131.7 million from Rivonia Road Capital. The California-based private capital manager provides this funding to help the company scale its operations in the secondary copper and aluminium markets.

Founded in 2022 by Rafael Suchan and Sebastian Brenner, Metycle operates as a vertically integrated company. It manages global trading, physical processing through its SmartSorting Hubs, and digital verification via its TrustTrack platform. The first sorting hub is located in Maasmechelen, Belgium.

The company reported trading over €103 million worth of secondary metals in the last 12 months, marking a 150% growth compared to the previous year. Metycle currently maintains a presence in 15 countries and serves industrial customers globally.

This new credit facility follows previous funding rounds, including a €14 million Series A in February 2025 and a €4.7 million Seed round in December 2023. Key investors and partners include 2150, Project A, Partech, Market One Capital, Dutch Founders Fund, Crédit Agricole Leasing & Factoring, and SCCF.

Metycle intends to use the new capital to finance larger physical metal transactions and increase the volume of recycled feedstock. The company aims to address market fragmentation by providing standardized, traceable, and reliable secondary metal supplies for sectors like power grids and data centers.
