MetaDAO has introduced an onchain treasury model on the Solana blockchain to manage funds raised during token sales. Instead of providing teams with direct access to capital, the platform locks 100% of USDC in a treasury governed by tokenholders. Teams operate on pre-defined monthly budgets, and any additional funding requires governance approval via futarchy, a prediction market mechanism.

At launch, 20% of the raised USDC is paired with tokens in automated market maker pools to ensure liquidity. The remaining 80% stays in the treasury for buybacks, revenue allocation, and rebalancing. This structure aims to prevent the misuse of funds common in traditional ICO models by keeping assets under ecosystem control rather than in team bank accounts.

The platform has facilitated over $100 million in cumulative fundraising. A recent example is the project Umbra, which raised $3 million in 2026. MetaDAO reports a net asset value exceeding $11 million, with quarterly revenues in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, supported by a 25 basis point fee on specific AMM volumes.

Investors maintain ongoing influence through voting on proposals and real-time monitoring of treasury allocations. The system is fully onchain and auditable, ensuring that every financial decision is validated by participants who bet on whether actions will increase or decrease token value.
