Meta Platforms shares have surpassed the $700 mark, reaching a level not seen since early February 2026, when the stock closed at $706.41. This recovery follows a summer slump where prices dropped into the $520 range.
The stock has gained more than 20% in September, rebounding from August lows. This growth precedes the Meta Connect event scheduled for September 23, where the company plans to present new AI features and potential hardware updates.
Wells Fargo raised its price target for Meta from $640 to $796, maintaining an Overweight rating. Other analysts project targets between $755 and $788, suggesting the current price remains 8% to 12% below potential.
The company's 52-week trading range spans from a low of $520.26 to a high of $790.80. On September 18, the stock closed at $665.75, before momentum pushed it above the $700 threshold on September 21.
Meta continues to integrate AI across its platforms, including Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook. The Muse AI agent is currently cited as a key product demonstrating user engagement as part of the firm's AI-first strategy.
