Meta’s new AI agent, Muse, reached the top spot on the U.S. Apple App Store, surpassing ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok. According to Sensor Tower data, the app recorded approximately 730,000 downloads within five days of its September 8 release.
The application operates on the Muse Spark model family, designed to assist users with web-based tasks such as organizing inboxes and filling out forms. Meta offers the tool for free, with additional subscription tiers priced at $20 and $100 per month.
The launch has drawn mixed reactions from major platforms. Amazon has blocked the Muse bot from its site citing security concerns, while Shopify is collaborating with Meta to enable agentic checkout for participating merchants.
Following the release, Meta shares rose by more than 11% on Monday. Wells Fargo responded to the market activity by increasing its price target for Meta stock to $796, reflecting investor interest in the company’s AI strategy.
