Meta launched its AI assistant Muse on September 8, 2026. The tool is designed to perform practical tasks such as sending emails, booking travel, filling out forms, and making online purchases. It integrates with platforms like Gmail, Spotify, and Shopify.
The application reached between 2.5 million and 3.4 million downloads within its first two weeks. By early October, total downloads exceeded 6.6 million, with Sensor Tower reporting 1.8 million daily active users.
Muse operates on the Muse Spark 1.3 model and is currently available in the US on iOS, Android, WhatsApp, and via the web. Users can access a free tier or choose paid subscriptions at $20 or $100 per month.
Security features include the Muse Secure VM, which isolates agent activity. The system requires user approval for sensitive actions like spending money. Meta plans to introduce Confidential VMs and data training opt-out options.
The company continues to expand the assistant's capabilities, recently adding a real-time avatar and launching a dedicated iPad application on October 7, 2026. Meta is also integrating additional retail partners.
