Meta Platforms released its standalone AI agent app, Muse, on September 8, 2026. The application is powered by the Muse Spark 1.3 model, developed at the company's Superintelligence Labs. By September 18, the app reached the top spot among free applications on the US App Store.

The service accumulated over 83,000 downloads within its first few days of availability. Users can access the agent via dedicated iOS and Android apps, the web, or through WhatsApp integration. Currently, access to the tool is restricted to the United States.

The app offers a free tier, alongside a Power subscription for $20 per month and a Maximum plan for $100 per month. It is designed to perform multi-step tasks, such as travel booking and email management, within secure cloud environments.

Following the launch of Muse, Meta shares increased by approximately 0.6%. The company also faces an $18 billion settlement related to past social media practices, which remains a factor for users considering granting the app access to personal data.
