Meta has released the source code for its Muse AI agent, allowing developers to build custom hardware gadgets. The company suggests integrating the technology into devices such as color E Ink displays, HDMI sticks, or small touchscreens.
To create these devices, users can utilize off-the-shelf ESP32 boards or Raspberry Pi hardware combined with Meta’s SDKs. The company notes that builders can connect the AI agent to various sensors, buttons, and actuators, though it warns that projects are built at the user's own risk.
Additionally, Meta is distributing 5,000 units of its own Muse Home Link device. This gadget enables users to control smart home equipment, including lights, televisions, and printers, through community-developed skills.
According to Nat Friedman from Meta Superintelligence Labs, the company has manufactured 5,000 units of the Home Link. Interested users can currently join a waitlist, with shipments expected to begin later this month.
