Meta Platforms Inc. is establishing a new division, Meta Enterprise Platform, dedicated to providing artificial intelligence services for corporate clients. CJ Desai, who previously served as CEO of MongoDB for 11 months, has been appointed as the Chief Enterprise Platform Officer to lead this initiative.

The new unit will focus on promoting the Muse agent, Muse Code, and Meta Business Agent. Muse Code utilizes an agent fan-out mechanism to distribute programming tasks among subagents, while Meta Business Agent functions as a WhatsApp-based chatbot for customer inquiries.

The portfolio includes the Muse API, providing access to large language models. The latest model, Muse Spark 1.3, reportedly outperformed GPT-5.6 Sol on the AutomationBench benchmark and requires 25% fewer tokens for coding tasks compared to its predecessor.

Meta plans to introduce Muse Confidential VM later this year, a security feature designed to isolate instances from external access. The company is also considering offering excess data center capacity to third-party organizations as part of its infrastructure services strategy.

Following the announcement of Desai's departure, MongoDB shares declined by more than 18%. Dev Ittycheria, who led MongoDB for 11 years prior to Desai, has returned to the company to serve as the interim CEO.
