Meta Platforms has launched the Meta Enterprise Platform, a new suite of AI tools aimed at generating recurring revenue outside of its advertising business. The platform integrates AI models, agents, APIs, and infrastructure for corporate clients.
The product lineup includes the Muse agent, Muse API, Muse Code, and the Meta Business Agent. The latter is already utilized by over 1 million businesses weekly across WhatsApp and Instagram for tasks like customer service and lead qualification.
Chirantan CJ Desai, formerly the CEO of MongoDB, has been hired to lead the new division and will report directly to Mark Zuckerberg. Desai previously held senior positions at Cloudflare and ServiceNow.
Following the announcement of Desai's departure, MongoDB shares fell by more than 17 percent. Meta shares experienced a modest decline after the news was made public.
Meta officially launched the platform on September 28, 2026, building upon enterprise-focused agents introduced in June. The company has not yet disclosed specific pricing models or financial targets for the new unit.
