Meta has introduced its latest AI model, Muse Wonder, internally codenamed Watermelon. The company positions this model as a tool to enhance the capabilities of personal and professional agents, specifically designed to handle real-world tasks like restaurant reservations without stalling.
Access to Muse Wonder is restricted to paid subscribers of the Muse personal agent application, with plans priced at $20 or $100 per month. This move represents Meta's strategy to generate revenue from AI services outside of its core online advertising business.
The model includes enhanced safeguards against online abuse, which are currently exclusive to the paid version. Meta also plans to offer access to the Muse Wonder model via its API for developers, with pricing expected to remain below that of leading models from OpenAI and Anthropic.
A more advanced variant, Muse Wonder Full, is reserved for developers using the Muse Code AI agent. This version is available through subscription plans costing $50 or $200 per month. Meta is also working on user education to clarify permission settings within the app.
