Meta has introduced a suite of generative AI tools designed to create 2D and 3D games through natural language prompts. The technology is integrated into the Horizon Worlds platform and a standalone application named Pocket.
The Pocket app enables users to build playable mini-experiences, referred to as gizmos, in less than one minute. The application soft-launched in Brazil on June 29, 2026, and became available to users in the United States on August 20, 2026.
Horizon Worlds tools support desktop and mobile platforms, offering features such as mesh generation, texture creation, audio production, and scripting assistance. Users are subject to daily limits of 100 meshes, 50 skyboxes, and 200 audio assets.
The suite utilizes Llama AI models to convert text descriptions into functional code and 3D environments. Meta plans to continue expanding these features throughout 2025 and 2026, with upcoming updates including avatar generation and full world prompting.
