Meta is expanding the capabilities of its Muse AI agent shortly after its initial release. The company is introducing dedicated email addresses for Muse agents, allowing them to manage tasks and communicate directly with users. Furthermore, the Muse application for macOS will soon gain the ability to perform actions directly on the user's computer.
A significant update includes the introduction of live video calls with Muse avatars. Users will be able to customize the voice of their avatar, while the new Muse Realtime Avatar model will manage its movements during these interactions. Meta previously allowed users to adjust the visual appearance of the AI agent.
The Muse agent has demonstrated strong market performance since its launch earlier this month. It reached the top of the App Store charts and reportedly achieved higher mobile download numbers than ChatGPT during its first 12 days of availability. Meta is now leveraging this momentum to accelerate feature development.
Looking ahead, Meta plans to integrate Muse into its smart glasses within the coming months. This expansion will enable users to interact with the AI agent regarding their physical surroundings while wearing the device. These updates reflect the company's strategy to rapidly evolve the platform following its successful debut.
