Meta Platforms is expanding the functionality of its Muse AI agent, which launched earlier this month. The company is introducing dedicated email addresses for Muse agents, allowing users to interact with them via email for various tasks. Additionally, the desktop application for Apple Mac computers will soon gain the ability to control the user's PC.
The company is also introducing video calling capabilities, enabling users to communicate with a virtual avatar. Users will be able to adjust the avatar's voice, while the ability to customize its appearance is already available. The new Muse Realtime Avatar model will manage the avatar's movements during interactions.
Since its launch, the Muse app has topped the US App Store charts. In its first 12 days, the application saw higher download rates on mobile devices compared to ChatGPT. Building on this momentum, Meta plans to integrate Muse into its smart glasses in the coming months, allowing the AI to process visual information from the user's perspective.
