Meta has launched its new AI agent, Muse, which reached the number two spot on the U.S. iOS App Store. According to Sensor Tower, the application recorded over 83,000 downloads in the United States since its release.
The initial performance of Muse trails behind previous Meta product launches. For comparison, the Threads app saw over 4.3 million U.S. downloads on its debut day, while the Meta AI app reached 108,000 downloads.
On the Android platform, Muse currently holds the 338th position in the Productivity category on Google Play. These figures exclude usage via the web and WhatsApp, which are not currently tracked in the data.
Meta is competing in the agentic AI market against rivals such as Google Gemini Spark and Anthropic Claude Cowork. A primary competitor, Instinct, is valued at $2.5 billion and holds $350 million in funding.
Instinct recently introduced new features, including email integration, location sharing, and tools for agents to communicate with each other. The company is also developing a social network based on real-life connections.
