Merlion has been appointed as a service partner for Basis, a Russian developer of infrastructure software. This agreement expands a partnership that began in 2023, when Merlion first became an official distributor for the vendor.
Under the new status, Merlion will provide first and second-line technical support, conduct pilot projects, and assist system integrators with software implementation. The service scope covers the Basis Dynamix Standard virtualization platform and the Basis Workplace virtual desktop solution.
Merlion engineers have completed training on the vendor's products, including architecture, configuration, and incident diagnostics. The team now has access to Basis knowledge bases and tools to manage customer requests independently, while third-line support remains with Basis.
The service operations are managed by Merlion's technical center, which employs 90 engineers and maintains a laboratory with over 60 software test benches. This infrastructure supports product testing, performance evaluation, and multi-vendor compatibility assessments.
Basis retains quality control and provides methodological guidance to the partner. This collaboration aims to streamline the deployment and maintenance process for customers, ensuring consistent service standards across all project stages.
