The prototype reveals an active rear spoiler that rises from the trunk lid. This active aerodynamics system is designed to improve the grip of wide tires on the road, rather than serving as a a purely aesthetic feature.

The latest test vehicle features new wheel rims and is expected to have a more aggressive AMG body kit in the final production version. Mercedes is also developing a retuned air suspension and a rear-wheel steering system for the model.

The vehicle is expected to use a YASA three-motor system with a maximum power output of approximately 789 hp (580 kW). This would place its performance above the CLA 45 electric, which has a three-motor system delivering 680 hp (500 kW).

For comparison, the standard C400 4MATIC electric version uses a dual-motor setup with 490 hp (360 kW), supports 330 kW DC fast charging, and offers a range of up to 762 km. The AMG version may use the same 94 kWh battery as the C400, though its range and charging speed may differ.

The electric AMG C-Class is expected to launch in 2027. This puts it in direct competition with BMW's first all-electric M3, which is expected to arrive around the same time.
