MegaFon has completed a network upgrade in the resort city of Berdsk, focusing on high-density residential areas and popular public spaces. The operator performed technical maintenance on more than 10 base stations located in the Vega and V microdistricts, as well as on Borovaya, Pervomayskaya, Vokzalnaya, and Maxim Gorky streets.
The project involved installing additional equipment to support mid-frequency bands. This upgrade aims to enhance data transmission speeds, increase network capacity, and expand 4G coverage for local schools, healthcare facilities, and parks.
According to Dmitry Olovyannikov, director of MegaFon in the Novosibirsk region, mobile traffic in Berdsk has increased by more than 13% since the beginning of the year. The city currently ranks second in the region for mobile data consumption, trailing only Novosibirsk.
