The new Matic Serene robotic vacuum is now available for purchase at a price of $1,695. This model is marketed as a quieter alternative to the original version, operating at 52 decibels on its highest suction setting. In comparison, the original Matic model, which remains on sale, operates at 55 decibels and is currently priced at $1,495.
Company cofounder Mehul Nariyawala stated that the Serene features a new hardware stack to achieve noise reduction without compromising suction power. The device is designed to maintain high performance on both carpets and hard surfaces. The company claims the noise level is comparable to a running refrigerator.
Existing Matic owners will have the option to upgrade their current units to the Serene hardware starting in early 2027. The cost of this upgrade will be calculated based on the difference between the customer's original purchase price and the current retail price of the Serene model, which is set at $1,695.
