Beijing Butterfly Effect Technology has officially launched Manus 2.0 for international users, alongside the release of Cue, an AI assistant designed for personal daily tasks. The company is currently building a dedicated team to develop products specifically for the Chinese market, with ongoing collaborations with domestic AI model providers and ecosystem partners.

Manus 2.0 introduces the proprietary Cascade agent framework, which reportedly reduces token consumption by 23.2%, cuts task completion time by 28.2%, and lowers operational costs by 32%. The platform is available across web, desktop, and mobile platforms, with an iOS version pending App Store approval.

The updated desktop application, Manus Studio, serves as a collaborative workspace for AI and human interaction, supporting documents, code, and video editing. The new video editor allows users to generate initial cuts for short-form content, such as 30 to 60-second advertisements or vlogs, while retaining control over individual assets.

Manus 2.0 also features cloud computing capabilities for hosting game servers or automated workflows, and remote control functions for managing authorized applications. The platform enables event-triggered automation, responding to inputs such as new emails, calendar events, or Slack messages.

Cue, the new personal assistant, operates on the same infrastructure as Manus. Each agent within Cue can manage its own email, phone number, and digital wallet to handle tasks or payments. The service is currently in early access, with the first 1,000 users gaining entry via the invitation code MEETCUE.
