Macy’s, Inc. reported a 1.1% year-over-year increase in net sales, reaching $4.9 billion for the period. Comparable sales grew by 2.7% across the company’s brands, which include Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, and Bluemercury.

Management plans to allocate $20 million to the bottom line, while the remainder will fund brand building, store pilots, and fuel cost mitigation.
