Logitech has upgraded its Spot smart environment sensor, expanding its software ecosystem through deep integration with 10 office management platforms. The device, which utilizes millimeter-wave radar technology, detects human presence within an 8-meter range and monitors environmental factors including temperature, humidity, CO2 levels, volatile organic compounds, particulate matter, and air pressure.

The integration allows third-party platforms such as Appspace, Robin, and Zoom to automate meeting room bookings, check-ins, and the release of unused spaces to prevent ghost meetings. Systems like Planon, Spaceti, and VergeSense use the collected data to analyze office space utilization and forecast future demand, while Extron, Q-SYS, Utelogy, and Xyte leverage the data for automated device and lighting control.

Data from the sensors is categorized within the Logitech Sync platform into space utilization, space health, and energy consumption. This information is now accessible to external management systems, enabling automated responses such as adjusting HVAC settings or lighting based on room occupancy, as well as triggering alerts when air quality metrics fall outside of established parameters.
