Logitech experienced a logistics error that resulted in the premature delivery of an unannounced flagship gaming mouse. Customers who ordered the current X2 Superstrike model through official channels received the new X3 Superstrike device instead.
Users who received the device noted significant differences in design, ergonomics, and base construction compared to the previous model. The X3 Superstrike features a new lightweight structure, updated scroll wheel feel, revised mouse feet layout, and adjusted side buttons.
Technical analysis by early recipients indicates that the mouse contains a new core hardware architecture, including updated sensors and firmware. While the device is recognized by Logitech software, some advanced customization features remain unsupported.
The incident, attributed to warehouse management and barcode errors, has bypassed standard testing and marketing protocols. Logitech has not yet issued an official statement regarding the specifications, pricing, or release schedule for the X3 Superstrike.
