Lighter (LIT) token rose by 23.49% over the past week, reaching a price of $3.83. This growth occurred while the broader cryptocurrency market experienced a decline of more than 2%.
The surge follows a research report by Delphi Digital, which highlighted Lighter's zero-fee model and its integration with the Robinhood Wallet. The report noted that Lighter processed approximately $56 billion in 30-day volume as of early October.
Founder Vladimir Novakovski announced that the platform plans to submit an application to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in November. The project has been engaging with the regulator to discuss decentralized finance rules.
Despite the recent gains, the token remains below its all-time high of $7.86, recorded on December 30, 2025. To return to that peak, the asset would require an increase of approximately 105%.
Future price performance may be influenced by the upcoming supply increase. Vesting for team and investor allocations, which account for half of the total supply, is scheduled to begin in late January 2027 with an initial release of 13.5 million tokens.
