The new electric Range Rover Sport is built on the MLA architecture, sharing its 118.5 kWh battery pack and 800V platform with the flagship electric Range Rover. The vehicle features a wheelbase of 2997 mm and a total length of 4946 mm, making it 4.2 inches shorter than the standard electric Range Rover model.
Equipped with dual electric motors, the SUV delivers a combined output of 542 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque. This powertrain enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. Land Rover has also announced plans for a lower-power version with 444 horsepower, though only the high-performance trim is currently available.
The vehicle offers a WLTP range of 609 km. It supports DC fast charging up to 350 kW, allowing a 10% to 80% charge in 22 minutes, and AC charging up to 22 kW. While official pricing is not yet disclosed, the company confirmed it will be positioned below the $140,450 price point of the flagship electric Range Rover.
The design of the electric Range Rover Sport remains consistent with its internal combustion engine counterparts, maintaining the brand's traditional aesthetic. This approach differs from Jaguar's strategy of radical brand transformation for its electric vehicle lineup.
