AvtoVAZ has unveiled details regarding the infotainment system for the upcoming Lada Azimut crossover. The vehicle features a dual-screen digital cockpit and integrates 2GIS navigation, which supports offline map downloads for areas with limited connectivity.
A key feature is the voice-controlled AI assistant, developed in collaboration with Sber. This system enables drivers to manage navigation, music playback, and route planning via voice commands, eliminating the need to interact with the touchscreen interface.
Despite the digital integration, the manufacturer has retained physical buttons for climate control and heating systems to minimize driver distraction. The company claims this layout ensures faster access to essential vehicle functions.
Sales of the Lada Azimut are scheduled to begin before the end of 2026. Initial models will offer 1.6-liter and 1.8-liter naturally aspirated engines paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT.
Future expansion plans include a version with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and a traditional automatic transmission in 2027. By 2028, the lineup will expand to include a hybrid variant featuring a Russian-made battery and 500 horsepower.
