Berlin-based startup Kuro Technology has secured €10 million in a funding round led by UVC Partners. Other investors participating in the round include Foundamental, Realyze Ventures, and helloworld. The company, which currently employs 16 people, was founded in November 2024 by Lea Scherer and Jonas Minkler.

Kuro develops an AI platform designed to automate back-office tasks for general contractors, such as estimating, procurement, accounting, and compliance. The system processes project documentation and integrates it into a unified data model, allowing users to create custom rulebooks for building components and work packages.

The platform identifies contradictions between drawings and specifications, assesses risks, and evaluates subcontractor bids. According to UVC Partners, the tool helps users save approximately 90 hours per bid, with 70% of customers reporting that the software detects information they would have otherwise overlooked.

The company's current client list features major general contractors in the German-speaking region, including Goldbeck, Köster, Implenia, Geiger, Riedel, and Hochtief Infrastructure. The fresh capital will be used to further develop the AI platform and expand its capabilities across additional back-office processes.
