Kontrakt Holding, a subsidiary of the major Russian microelectronics group Element, has expanded its operations by supplying Chinese semiconductor manufacturing equipment to third-party clients. The company has already imported over 100 units of technological hardware, moving beyond its previous focus on serving internal group needs.

The product range includes ion implantation systems, magnetron sputtering and deposition tools, as well as testing equipment for semiconductor components. Over the past six months, the supplier has registered compliance declarations for a wide array of products from Chinese and other international manufacturers. The company also offers process chemicals and electronic components.

To manage the supply chain, Kontrakt Holding established a subsidiary in China. This entity handles quality control and logistics, facilitating direct interaction with manufacturers amid ongoing risks in cross-border semiconductor trade. The primary customers are existing Russian semiconductor factories looking to repair, upgrade, or expand their production lines.

Potential clients for the imported equipment include major industry players such as Mikron and NM-Tech. While Element continues to pursue domestic equipment development through its subsidiary Nanotronika, there have been no reports of serial production or commercial deliveries of its proprietary hardware to date.
