Kamino, a lending and yield protocol on Solana, has completed a security review of Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP). The assessment concluded that CCIP is secure enough to manage cross-chain collateral risk.
As a result, assets transferred via CCIP are now eligible for increased borrowing limits and improved loan-to-value (LTV) ratios on the platform. These adjustments are integrated into Kamino’s existing risk management framework, which includes real-time monitoring.
The announcement follows the launch of CCIP 2.0 in late September 2026. This upgrade introduced customization features, allowing asset issuers to add specific verification steps and transfer policies to the standard security model, which utilizes 16 node operators.
Kamino already utilizes other Chainlink services, including Data Streams for pricing real-world assets and Proof of Reserve to verify off-chain collateral. The addition of CCIP enables the protocol to support cross-chain assets while maintaining capital efficiency for users.
