Prediction market Kalshi is closing its Volume Incentive Program, which rewarded traders based on their share of eligible activity. The platform filed a notice on September 28, 2026, and the program will officially terminate no earlier than October 13, 2026.

The program distributed rewards from fixed pools based on trading volume on the central limit order book. To qualify, trades had to occur within a price range of $0.03 to $0.97, with a maximum reward cap of $0.005 per contract.

Certain participants, including Kalshi affiliates and those with specific broker or market maker agreements, were ineligible for the rewards. The initiative aimed to improve liquidity and price discovery for markets ranging from economic indicators to crypto-related futures.

Despite ending this specific program, Kalshi maintains other liquidity-focused arrangements that will remain active until 2027. The exchange operates under CFTC regulation, which distinguishes its oversight model from many other crypto-native prediction platforms.
