Jersey is pivoting its financial sector toward digital assets through the 'Time to Win' strategy, launched in March 2026. The government has allocated £31 million to support this initiative over four years, focusing on the tokenization of real-world assets and stablecoins to compete with hubs like Dubai and Singapore.

The Jersey Financial Services Commission has integrated digital assets into its existing regulatory framework, requiring strict anti-money laundering compliance for all virtual asset service providers. By October 2025, the island had authorized 14 such providers. Tax neutrality remains a core feature, with no capital gains, dividend, or royalty taxes for non-residents.

Local data indicates growing social challenges alongside financial growth. The number of families seeking food assistance from St Vincent de Paul rose from approximately 195 in February 2022 to over 500 by late 2024. Additionally, the Salvation Army reported an increase in food parcel distributions from 1,040 in 2021 to 3,802 in 2024.

Industry presence is already visible on the island. CoinShares International Limited currently holds approximately 236 BTC, which is valued at around $19 million. This investment highlights the ongoing efforts to establish Jersey as a significant jurisdiction for digital asset companies.
