The 2026 Jensen Interceptor GTX is a track-only prototype designed to preview future road-legal vehicles from the revived British manufacturer. The car features a supercharged 6.8-liter V8 engine sourced from General Motors and heavily modified by Late Model Engine in Texas. The engine includes CNC-machined heads, titanium valves, and an upgraded rotating assembly, all managed by a Motec control system.
Currently, the vehicle produces 973 horsepower, though the company states that output can reach up to 1,200 horsepower with further tuning. The power is transmitted through a manual gearbox. Jensen is continuing development of the race car to facilitate the production of future road-going models, specifically planning for grand touring GT and sporting GTR variants.
While the company has confirmed its intention to bring these road cars to market, no specific timeline for their release has been announced. The Interceptor GTX serves as the foundation for these upcoming performance vehicles, which will share technical roots with the current track-only prototype.
