During the All-In conference in Los Angeles, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang received a live phone call from President Trump while on stage. Huang used an unreleased Apple foldable smartphone to answer the call, a device scheduled for retail release in five weeks with a price tag of $1,999.
The conversation between Huang and Trump focused on artificial intelligence safety. Trump characterized concerns regarding AI as a hoax, suggesting that the technology is too significant to slow down. He claimed that China and political figures are the primary beneficiaries of current AI-related panic.
Nvidia shares have increased by 33 percent over the past year, although the stock price experienced a slight decline on the day of the event. The company continues to supply hardware for Apple Intelligence, marking a shift in their relationship a decade after Apple ceased using Nvidia components in its products.
The conference organizers also announced that September 18 is the final deadline for companies to reserve an exhibit table for the upcoming Disrupt event.
