NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang expects annual spending on AI infrastructure to reach $3 trillion to $4 trillion by 2030. He shared these projections during a discussion at the Future of Global Markets 2025 event, hosted by Citadel Securities in New York on October 6, 2025.
Huang attributes this growth to the continuous nature of AI operations. Unlike traditional software, AI systems require constant compute power for training, fine-tuning, and inference. This creates a perpetual demand cycle that differentiates AI from previous technology markets.
A significant focus of his presentation was on agentic AI, which refers to autonomous systems capable of executing complex, multi-step tasks without human oversight. Huang estimates this specific segment represents a market opportunity worth several trillion dollars.
The CEO highlighted that companies investing in AI infrastructure have already realized trillions in market capitalization. He noted that NVIDIA has benefited from this trend as the industry continues to build out massive capacity for AI processing.
