Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated during an interview in London on October 14 that the current demand for artificial intelligence significantly exceeds supply. He dismissed claims that the industry is currently in a bubble, noting that such a scenario only occurs when supply outpaces demand.
Huang acknowledged that while the market will eventually reach equilibrium, and supply may eventually surpass demand, that point has not yet been reached. He emphasized that the current environment is characterized by a persistent shortage of AI resources.
Addressing concerns regarding the cloud service provider CoreWeave, Huang expressed confidence in the company's financial stability, stating that no bailout is necessary. Following these comments, CoreWeave shares reversed their downward trend and closed with a gain of nearly 6 percent on Thursday.
Regarding AI safety, Huang argued that security concerns should not be used as a justification for slowing down development. He advocated for the acceleration of AI deployment, suggesting that further advancements in the technology are necessary to effectively manage and control its risks.
