Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang attended the All-in Summit in Los Angeles on September 14. During the event, he addressed concerns regarding the risks of artificial intelligence, labeling the 'AI doomsday' narrative as irresponsible and fabricated by researchers.
The discussion follows a September 12 statement by Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, who suggested that the AI industry should slow down. Amodei warned that AI's ability to build next-generation systems could surpass human control by the summer of 2026.
During the summit, Donald Trump called Huang via speakerphone. Trump dismissed concerns about AI safety as a hoax, asserting that robots will not take over the world. He also praised data centers as the 'oil of the next 20 to 25 years.'
Trump joked about Huang's technical expertise, noting that the man capable of designing the world's most complex chips struggled to operate the speakerphone. Huang also commented on the state of AGI, stating that the industry has reached that milestone.
