JD.com has upgraded its waterproofing and leak repair service, introducing a model that separates inspection from construction. The company guarantees a single-visit repair and zero additional costs during the process.
The service includes three main commitments: compensation for delays, compensation for re-repairs, and tiered warranty coverage. If a project exceeds the agreed timeline due to JD.com's fault, the company pays 1% of the total contract price for each day of delay.
For re-repairs, if a leak recurs at the same spot within one year due to quality issues, the customer receives a refund of 20% of the paid repair fee. The company also offers free repairs for leaks occurring in the same location during the warranty period.
The warranty duration depends on the repair type: one year for surface moisture, two years for specific point leaks, and five years for deep-seated, persistent water issues. JD.com mandates an inspection before providing a price quote.
The service is currently available in 13 cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Suzhou, Tianjin, Wuhan, Changsha, Chengdu, Dongguan, and Foshan. The company has recruited and trained its own team of inspection engineers.
